I am currently looking into the role of optimisation in system dynamics.Is optimisation: 1 - a contribution to system dynamics, sharing its fundamentals, or 2 - a regression in ideas, where it is incommensurable with the system dynamics methodology. I am currently trying to reproduce the results of E.Wolstenholmes Coal
Transport Model in his book System Enquiry: A System Dynamics
Approach(1990). I would like to know if anyone is looking into the same
model at present.
