Hi
Are the new input output objects in Vensim to build a nice interface working when one view of the model is published for the net?
Regards.

Hi
I need to know if ther is a way to store constants used in a run in Vensim PLE, like what you can do for instance with *.cin files in DSS?
Best regards;

Re: new GUI and vensim on the web
Hi ,
I have just noticed that there is a new release that i will have to study. When I asked for checking for a new relaease with the help, it always said that I had the latest release; i could have staid like that for months! This need to be corrected.

Re: new GUI and vensim on the web
Hi
Will it be possible to build models that look approximately like the one's built with the old Venapps without the Sable?
Of course if it looks like the old Venapps with Sable it would be better. But without the sable is already good enough for me.
Best regards;

new GUI and vensim on the web
Hi I have seen that a Vensim model runing on the web cannot use constants external to the model. Does it mean that if a .cin file is created, one cannot use that file to create a specific scenario to run the model? Second question. i would lke to create a Venapps like interface with the new Guy usab...

Re: Suggestions for Temporal Superposition
Hi you must represent the vector as a stock, and at each time step, see which element of the vector must be made equal to some values of the variable and keep the other values of the vector unchanged. I do not see the difficulty. I think that your problem has reached a level of complexity that is ah...

Hi I have made models using dynamic prkogramming methods and I needed to inverse the time, starting at the end of a model and going back to the present. It may help you. Hi
Two questions: is the calculation in Excel correct and sufficient?
if this is the case, Why do you want to calculate it in Vensim?
Regards and happy good year for all!

you could have more help if you explained the true nature of the problem and its envental link with the real world. Simplifying it considerably would help too.

I have fçund a way to avoid partially the problem. I increase the height of the custom graph, But it still does not show the value of the lowest line of the graph as it is shown with the oldest Guy.

problem with a custom graph
Hi i join a models with a run. The non custom graph at the top of the screen is correct and does not correpond to the custom graph below that does not correspond to the custom graph when one wants to edit it. In particular, the custom graph on the main screen has a minimum of 0 in contradiction with...

Re: transport network
Hi Lou To get help it would be useful if you put units in your model: We don't know if you're talking about sausages or aircraft carriers. Second, the files are usually downloaded to the same download directory. However, in the model, the Excel file is in a directory that must be created and in whic...

put stricit units on in model settings and press ctrl U to verify your units. Start with a simpler model with only one stock first and once you have understood it add new elements step by step.

All current system dynamic software are good and what makes the difference is the capability of the modeler and the problem studied.

Re: Simultaneous workaround
I generally avoid using simultaneous or find zero because it contradicts the principle of SD which describes a dynamic between steps and not within a step. In this case I would divide the step by 2, using half hours as step for example or half minutes as recommended by the administrator and using th...

Hi
Here is the complete challenge with an excel file having the values of the challenge and the modified model that reads the value from the excel file. What else do you need as this works well? You can replace the sum that I use by a vector lookup as Tom proposes.

Re: Simultaneous workaround
Simultaneous and find zero work like a black box because you don't see the intermediate results that lead to eventual convergence or not. I often prefer to use a vector in which I store the intermediate results that I calculate myself so that they converge. In short, I make my own simultaneous or fi...

Re: units for %
Hi Not many Vensim users are familiar with this strict testing feature. For example, if you add 5 to a variable and that variable has a dimension, e.g. people/year, Vensim assumes that 5 has a dimension equal to that of the variable, unless the strict test is on, in which case there is a unit error ...

Hi Joined the model with the 10 values. i do not use 'sub" as a value for the index as it probably looks weird for you. Subscripts in Vensim are a bit difficult to understand especially the mapping system; But once you have understood it you will be able to model any logic without the use of an...
