Installed DSS 10.1.4 and problem is gone. I can now name data files ..vdfx

I am using DSS 10.1.3 on Windows

I was looking through models from "The System Zoo" by Hartmut Bossel and each time I opened a model and tried to run it, Vensim correctly pointed out that the was no run name. When I click OK Vensim tries to run anyway and freezes my system... forcing me to "ctl alt del" to open ...

This is Windows 11. Printer is same as last 5 years or so, and it is turned off. Same message appears if I double click a model file with Vensim already open.

When I open Vensim I first get a small window titled "waiting for printer connection" with the message "please wait for printer connection or cancel" Eventually the window will close, and Vensim will start or I can also click cancel and Vensim will start. I am using DSS version 1...

I am using a Dell XPS 17 Laptop running Windows 11 Vensim DSS 9.3.5 x64

When I click on help it opens a window that says "vensim help" in the upper left corner. I am assuming that is on my computer. Shows as a window via the Vensim icon on the taskbar.

Ventity seems to work fine with Windows 10, although I haven't used it much since I upgraded windows. (Using a 4 year old laptop computer)

I also installed the 64 bit version. The folder holding the help file is named Ventity (beta) but the program seems to be looking for a folder named Ventity. I changed the folder name and the help system works.... so far.

Yes the problem seems to be related to the font size specified. On my machine I can use Times New Roman but only if it is 10 points or smaller. Same with Comic Sans MS. I was hoping this problem would be fixed with the update to V6.0A, but I am still unable to change the font size in the PLE equation editor. The default is rather small on a high res screen.

Just wondering if there is a way I can tell the graph tool to use a larger than default Y axis maximum (and maybe a minimum too).

I find that I can trick Vensim into doing this but I'd rather just be able to make a series of graphs with the same y axis (for comparison).

On a high def monitor the Vensim tool faces are quite small. Is there any was to increase the size of the tool faces without lowering screen resolution?

Tom: Right. I should have thought of that.

Lowering the save per to 1 month works fine and there are virtually no delays in getting the display to quickly respond.

Setting the option to suppress synthesim during slider moves did not seem to help.
