Re: CMD script macOS problem
Can you let us know exactly how you run the script? Do you start it via a terminal command or edit the CMD script and hit the run button?

Re: ack of simulation results
You'll need to provide some more information.
Can you upload the model? Then provide some more details about what is not working.

Re: Sens2All technical details
1) Parameter Value Distribution One of the primary questions I had was about how parameter values are determined for simulations. Specifically, are these values randomly drawn from a distribution within 10% below and above the parameter values? If so, what is the nature of this distribution—uniform...

Re: Default initial parameters when copying a mdl
Yes. If you edit the MDL file in a text editor, near the bottom, you will see something like 19:100,2 "19" means "zoom level" and "initial sketch". In this example, the zoom is 100%, the initial sketch is number 2 in the list. For time axis, you need to modify settings ...

Re: Population Example with Conveyors
There is no code in the model to stop the levels going negative.
I've attached a version that does stop them going negative. Look at the equations for "young deaths" and "young adult deaths".

Re: behavior of comment boxes and circles when moved
Ahh, I see we have a problem here. The "push to back" button is still there, but when you select the comment/box, you effectively select everything within the box as well, so push-to-back does nothing. The only way round this at the moment is to make the box small so it does no overlap any...

Re: behavior of comment boxes and circles when moved
I'll also check if the surrounding shape can have a thicker line. There has been no way to set this for some time, so I'll need to check that it can be done.

Re: behavior of comment boxes and circles when moved
If you select something inside the box, it should move only that. But if you click the background of the comment box and move it, it will move the contents as well. Does that make sense? Try moving just "recollection of new cases" it should move ok. I'll make a change so that the comment b...

Re: Vensim DSS 10.2.0 MC Apple Silicon
Yes, you should use it all the time. The old version is there as multi-core should be considered beta for a short while. The reason is, there are significant differences in implementation between windows and Mac.

Re: Vensim for Mac
Another way to slow it down is to create some unused variables (such as a large array, all calculating a call to RANDOM 0 1). Why do you want to slow the sim down? I can enable SIMULATION PAUSE during SyntheSim for the next release. "Suppress Synthesim during slider moves" is used for larg...

If you tell them to make sure they only have one model open, it should be fine.
We'll fix this before the next release (which should be next week).

Actually that's not quite correct, the error occurs if I have more than one model open. I'm investigating.

I'm assuming the graphs are not updating for you?
I can see the same behaviour in this model on a Apple silicon Mac, but it's running fine on an Intel one.
Do you know what version of MacOS your friend is using?

Can you upload the model or email it to us (vensim@vensim.com)?
The old GUI no longer works on the Mac which is why the option to switch back is gone.
