I figured this out myself.
Replaced SENS2TAB with SENS2FILE in the updated Vensim DSS and finally got the append to work.
You can keep the $500.
I guess.

Kris

Re: SENS2TAB supports appending? +
OK
Got the Mac version working, by eliminating the Exit and the NoInteraction commands.
It exhibits exactly the same problem I flagged at the top of this thread.
It doesn't append.
I don't suppose I can get my $500 back ...

Re: SENS2TAB supports appending? +
Downloaded the Mac version as a work around. Vensim DSS opened and looked normal, so I call my command file from the Terminal. I see the SD model flash open, status being displayed, then it closes without performing any of the tasks. Then the updated Mac version of Vensim won't open and is hung. The...

Re: SENS2TAB supports appending? +
OK
I upgraded, and now my old virtual PC operating system says the Vensim.exe is not a valid Win32 app.
<sigh>
How is the Mac version of Vensim DSS these days? Has it been rung out enough to be considered fully functional?

SENS2TAB supports appending? +
Hello,
Unfortunately my release, 6.3D x32, doesn't seem to support SENS2FILE. Does SENS2TAB support appending to an output .tab file?
Thanks,
Kris Wile

Re: Learn by Example? Batch processing
OK Do you (or somebody) have an example of a DLL that does batch runs? I do not want to start with a tabula rasa (clean sheet) if I don't have to. We at MIT have a strong tradition of standing on the shoulders of giants. Is there a forum for this, or should I just email all the SD pros I know? Thank...

Learn by Example? Batch processing
Hello! I need to run ~50 unique runs modifying ~50 input constant variables. The input data will be in an .xls. Also hope to save specific variable results in an .xls output file. Does anybody have a .CMD script that has done something similar? Many thanks, Kris Kristina Wile Systems Thinking Collab...
