So, whatever is the setting in the user's Computaion tab, I just need to include the mymodel_sim.dll with the mymodel.vmf in the mymodel.vpm package?
I do it already but it doesn't seem to work. I thought it was a matter of settings.

Command script and Compiled simulation
Hi, I'd like to run a Command file with a package (vpm) containing a Compiled model. As I usually have the Compilation option set to Interpret (https://vensim.com/documentation/index.html?advanced_options.htm), I wanted to save the "Compile" option within the package, so that the Command F...

Re: VDF2TAB and Time (in Command File)
The exported variables include data variables, but these, as all inputs and ouputs refer to the interval 1995-2050.
The funny thing is that nowehere it is set the wider interval 1965-2074. I wonder if they are default dates.

VDF2TAB and Time (in Command File)
Hi, I'm experiencing a strange behaviour in the tab file created with the command VDF2TAB in a Command Script. No particular option is given to the command, which has the form: MENU>VDF2TAB|vdffile|tabfile|savelist| The strange behaviour is about the Time header. The model runs from 1995 to 2030, bu...

DATA variable name
Hi,
what's the name of the DATA collection variable (the list of inputs loaded from venapp with the command ADDDATA)?
Is it possible to show the list of files in a custom table?
Many thanks and greetings.

Re: Value with two decimal marks
Yes, I read your first answer.
Indeed I used the new Model Reader, with no bug.
My second question was about the Excel behavior.
But it doesn't matter. Important is that the bug does not exit anymore. Thank you!!

Re: reset a Slidevar
Well, the venapp allows to set up one or more policies. Every policy has an own screen with several slidevars, switchvars, radiovars and so on. Thus, I use CANCEL> to cancel the entire simulation, while RESETINPUT to cancel just the changes to the variables in the current screen (relative to one pol...

Re: Value with two decimal marks
(with Vensim DSS for Windows version 5.11A-1 and Windows 7) I met a curious behavior, working with my Venapp, Excel and Bloc Notes: I have a "1..000" value in a table workbench tool. If I look at the data in a graph tool, the trend is well drawn. From the table, I export the data and copy ...

reset a Slidevar
Good morning!!
I can't get slidevars to be reset.
I used the command SPECIAL>RESETINPUT|, even in combination with SPECIAL>REFRESH, but with no success.
The radiovars and the switchvars get rigthly reset instead.
Any suggestion? Thank you

Re-implement closing Venapp
Hi! When I close a Venapp by the close button ("x" on the upper right side of the window), I get the Question from Vensim "Do you want to close this application?", if yes, the application closes. I would like to show a "credit page" and do other operations before exitin...

SKETCH in Venapp and SETWB
Hi! I would need a suggestion. I have a slide with the sketch tool and the command SETWB that updates the name of the workbench variable (WBVAR). This works great. I have a button to show the Causes tree as pop-up. But, if I click on a cause variable, I change the WB and the slide will be reloaded, ...

Value with two decimal marks
Hi, I got a strange number (1..000) for the result of a variable. The graph gets correctly drawn, the other values of the variable look normal, but for a combination of subscript and a time step there are two decimal marks. Looking the previous and the next values, it doesn't seems that a decimal ma...

Re: Custom tables: operation with variables
Not about operations but custom tables.... If I use just :table table1 :comline Population :var population without specifying any dataset but loading more runs, only the values of the first run are shown. I can't know if more runs will be loaded, thus I don't want to use che :DATASET dataset key. Wh...

Custom tables: operation with variables
Hi, I'd like to show the variation of value for a selected variable for the first two loaded runs. Maybe I can use a custom table. is it possible, in a custom table, to show the difference of values of two loaded runs for the selected variable? Something like :VAR varname &*1 - varname & *2 ...

Re: Load CIN and external data
I load data with SIMULATE>ADDDATA|?&SPECIAL>CLEARRUNS (the clearruns command is necessary to not see the loaded data as a loaded run) In fact, they don't interact, as I was afraid of. When I load the cin file with SIMULATE>READCIN|?Changes file , only Constants take the right values, while the e...

Re: Load CIN and external data
That means, I have to reset the data list, before loading the cin file?
With a void list of data, the cin file will load its own list, including the external data of the policy?

Re: Venapp and External function - passing variable
Just a confirmation: I loaded a model by a Venapp interface. In parallel I ran a programm that uses the DLL. Can the second programm, trhough the DLL, ask for info (vensim_get_info) on the model loaded by the Venapp interface? (For example, I'd like to get the names of the currently loaded runs, inf...

Re: Load CIN and external data
After having loaded the cin file and run the simulation, the outputs show that external data were'nt loaded. Some variables have default values. Some policies let the user change such values by loading an external vdf file. The outputs correspond to the default values, not to the data relative to th...
