Re: What improvements would you like to see in Vensim?
Yes. That's true especially when you want to develop a general framework suitable for all users. I don't need it now. But when I was doing one of my projects, I needed to develop two different types of models and integrated them in a single Vensim model. The output of the first model generates the i...

Re: What improvements would you like to see in Vensim?
One thing that I really feel the lack of it in Vensim is the fact that it is not possible to assign different time steps for state variables. I mean for example if you have two state variables, for one of them you want to do the modeling in monthly time step and for the other one you want to use dai...

Re: X-Y plot not X-t
Hello again, I wanted to send a new post but I could not! So I am following my previous post. I wanted to generated Gaussian white noise in Vensim (I am using PLE but I don't think it matters!) So basically I need to use Random Normal distribution. Now the question is if in this function, the random...

Re: X-Y plot not X-t
The First reply is not what I am looking for. But the second one is a very wise idea.
Awesome.
Thanks

Re: X-Y plot not X-t
Hi again, I have another problem hoping you can help me with that. I have different plots. some of them are plots of state variables (say X or Y vs Time) versus time. Others are plots of state variables versus each other (say X vs Y). Is it possible to have different time spans for these plots. I me...

X-Y plot not X-t
I was just wondering if it is possible to plot one variable vs another in Vensim? For example all the time when I want to plot x-y graph, I need to export the data set and plot it in excel! In dynamic analysis, sometimes we need the plot of two variables to get see hysteresis!
thanks,
Majid,
thanks,
Majid,

Re: Multiple time steps in one single Model!
Thanks,
But just now the problem was solved!
The values of the timestep in excel (Vensim reads from Excel) were stores as text. that error : not enough space was because of this
Anyway thanks

Re: Multiple time steps in one single Model!
I am sorry but I have another question. I am calling VENSIM from c++ using vensim dll. I have written a Genetic Algorithm in c++ and it calls VENSIM. There was no problem until yesterday. But from yesterday what ever I do after 139 generations that 139*60 times calling VENSIM, an STOP MESSAGE FROM V...

Multiple time steps in one single Model!
Hi, I am working on an integrated water management model using VENSIM! the model has two main sectors, one is called rainfall-runoff modelling sector (with time steps in day) and the other is called water resources operating sector (with time steps in month). I want to know whether it is possible to...
