Modeling goal seeking behaviour when desired goal is changing
Hi I have a model in which I have a variable called Actual Price.Following Sterman's price discovery by hill climbing structure ( described in CH13), I am modelling actual price in goal-seeking manner.Actual price adjusts to indicated price.Indicated price, in turn, increases or decreases depending ...

Re: calling time=x-1 data into an equation
Hi
I have a similar query.I want to calculate growth rates of my stock variables. How can i do this in vensim ple? For example, I have a stock variable called aggregate output (Y). I want to calculate growth rate of Y using the formula : [Y(t) -Y(t-1)]/Y(t).
How do I get lagged value Y(t-1)?

Re: Suggestions needed for modelling wealth in a growth model in vensim
One specific point that I think that I am doing wrong is that variable old age is not included anywhere when i am modeling total wealth as coflow. But i am not very clear how it can be included??

Suggestions needed for modelling wealth in a growth model in vensim
Dear users, I am modelling an economic growth model in vensim ple on windows 8. I have a variable called population that has been classified into childhood, young age, middle age and old age using an aging chain.Corresponding to population, I have another variable called total aggregate wealth that ...

problem in formulating auxiliary equation
Hi I have just started learning Vensim.I have been referring to MIT OCW roapmaps. One recurring problem which I am facing is when i formulate equation for an auxiliary variable. For example, I have an auxiliary variable called death rate. The equation for death rate is defined as population * death f...
