Save time step
Hi, I might be doing this wrong but cannot seem to figure out if it is possible, so I am asking here. I have long simulations, and I do not need the simulation results for each time step, so I would like to cut down on output file size by reducing the frequency that results are saved, similar to the...

Re: Lookup or time series for data input
I use the hourly time step to evaluate short-term effects like intra-day price volatility and power shortages. Zooming out to daily/weekly/monthly/yearly time steps will make that much harder. The 30 year horizon is to see the long-term effects of policies on these effects. I attach the document wit...

Re: Lookup or time series for data input
I tried doing that but the excel files quickly became too large for Ventity to handle (at least on my computer), as my simulation runs 30 years, so I need nearly 300'000 data points for several variables. I'll try to find some parametric way to estimate the data points for now, but please keep me in...

Lookup or time series for data input
Hi, I am having some issues trying to integrate data in Ventity. I have weather data in hourly values for a single year, i.e. 24*365 = 8760 data points, that I need to use in my model, repeatedly over several years, such that the value on, for instance, January 3rd, 4pm, will always be the same data...

Re: Market action
Sorry for the mistake, it should read that both Supply and Demand entities have an "amount" and "price" auxiliary, denoting respectively their amount and priority for the market clearing.

Market action
Hi, I am stuck trying to figure out how to get a market action to work. I am basically trying to match supply and demand bids for a certain good, I have three entity types: Market, Supply, and Demand. Supply and demand entities have a auxiliaries "amount" and "quantity", denoting...

Import Vensim models as entities
Ventity and Vensim have a lot of common functionality and it would be great if it were possible to import Vensim models as entities in Ventity, or export entities as separate Vensim models! Is there any plan to implement such functionality in the future?

Forecast function
Is there any plan to implement a function similar to the Forecast function in Vensim? We are relying heavily on the function for our Vensim projects and we are considering switching to Ventity for some, but this is only possible if there is a similar functionality.
