Thank you.It seems to wok now.
But let me know how can I analyse this output graph or table?
I read that the software BATS -behaviour analysis and testing software helps this purpose.
Can the analysis be done in excel?

Re: Exporting data of variables
Hello, I would like to validate my output graphs obtained. Is there any way to export these graphs and analyse the result in MSexcel or any other tool? I am not able to export the output table or graphs either by using Model>Export Dataset, or going to Table>Export window contents Please help

Re: help in modelling transport
So should i frame the equations differently. I tried reframing the equation for pallet shipping method = IF THEN ELSE(volume per order>0.6, lookup of freight cost ,cartons per order*2.84) and removed the parcel shipping method from the model. Now there is only one equation. But still the problem exis...

Re: help in modelling transport
Hello, Thank you very much for your input. I have managed to complete the model. But I find no difference in the minimum(cost) when I change the volume per order(in the pallet or parcel equation) from 0.5 to 0.6 or to 0.7 or even 0.9 as well. The minimum(cost)graph remains the same for all. Is the mo...

help in modelling transport
Hello, My aim is to reduce the freight cost of shipping parcels(cartons) having a certain volume either by using means of pallet or parcel shipping. This is decided on SAP by the parameter Volume(volume per order).I am aiming to alter this volume parameter in my model. Every order has a certain numbe...

Re: Monthly demand(volume) to per order(volume)
Yes ,you are right. But,I am focussing on the demand(volume) which fits in one pallet. The pallet shipments are priced based on only volume. The Parcel shipments are priced based on each parcel(x EUR /parcel) So,I intend to use lookup table for pallet shipments to get the freight cost for them.to get...

Re: Monthly demand(volume) to per order(volume)
Hello, Thank you very much for your reply and the attached model. My point is how would I go about adding the decision parameter volume in the below model. The volume of the shipment(assuming what demand we get is what we ship) is the key factor which decides if we ship it as a parcel or pallet. Pall...

Re: Monthly demand(volume) to per order(volume)
Hello, I have data of the number of orders per month. But,This data does not include the volume of products ordered.Just the number of orders. From the attached model, I am trying to optimise the shipping volume and number of parcels(cartons) to be shipped. Ex : If an order volume is 0.5 cubic metre ...

Re: Monthly demand(volume) to per order(volume)
I do not have the info on how much volume of articles were ordered.
Is there any way where I can input an equation in consolidated shipment and direct each shipment's volume to either parcel or pallet.
Please suggest

Monthly demand(volume) to per order(volume)
Hello,
I need to transform my monthly demand(volume) to per order(volume)to be shipped and then direct it to the consolidated shipment stock.
My aim is to know if the order(volume) to be shipped by parcel or pallet.
Please let me know how this could be done?

Re: how to write equation
But,how do I calculate weight and volume of demand? Demand must come from somewhere, or do you ship anyway based on what you have in stock? If nobody orders, there is no demand so no shipment needed. We ship based on orders(Articles ordered) What about the parcels?Do i just randomly say a pallet co...

Re: how to write equation
I have statistical data for how many pallets have been shipped by volume and how many by weight. But,how do I calculate weight and volume of demand? What about the parcels?Do i just randomly say a pallet contains 'x' no. of parcels?? Flow for pallets and flow of parcels have diff units. and so does ...

Re: how to write equation
when the volume is less than 0.9 cubic metre and the weight of the shipment is below 70kg ,it is shipped as Parcel,If either one of the condition or both conditions exceed the mentioned limit, then it is shipped as pallet.

Re: how to write equation
PFA the model,
I am tring to modify the parameters of volume and weight.which are the reaason for the shipments to be shipped as parcel or pallet.
Should I add this decision point as a stock itself or how should i go about adding it?
Please let me know,

Re: how to write equation
Hello,
I would like to make a decision with a volume and weight criterion in the point shown in the attached figure.
Could you please tell me if Vensim PLE supports any decision point or what is the way for me to insert a criterion so that shipments either flow as parcels or pallets.
Thanks,

Re: how to write equation
Hello,
I have attached the model with a arbitrary value of replenishment rate. Can you please help me figure out this floating point error.
I tried to even give a min and max limit for volume to be shipped. But have no clue how to modify shipment rate
Please help
Regards,
Karthik

how to write equation
Hello, I would like to write an equation for the following in the model: 1.Volume to be shipped 2.Inventory 3.Transportation costs 4.Replenishment Rate This model tries to optimise the optimal split volume and the number of cartons to be shipped to the customers. The current split volume is 0.9.
