Airport expansion - community impact studies
SD Community
Greetings,
Could someone please point me towards any SD studies that have been used to
analyse proposed
policies regarding airport expansion? Im looking for case
studies that can show the various impacts and feedbacks on the surrounding
communities like increased industrial expansion (jobs) and decreased quality
of living (driving the best qualified workers farther away).
I just moved to suburban Chicago right outside OHare Airport and Mayor
Daleys planned expansion has been creating a small civil war in
the
surrounding communities. I cant help but think that a systems approach to
understanding the complexity of the issues and identifying
the stakeholders
would help greatly. BTW, the mayor (and his consultants, whoever they are)
have done perhaps the worst job of
stakeholder ID, communication, and change
management that Ive ever seen or heard outside small country dictatorships.

Chicago...
