Hi, I am experiencing the problem described on this page regarding scrambled text display:
https://www.energypolicy.solutions/docs ... ensim.html
However, the solution suggested no that page (using windows display settings text rescaling) does not solve the problem for me.
When I open a model, the text is not scaled properly and is overlapping and unreadable.
When I use Vensim Model Reader (as recommended by the model provider) I get this problem, and the controls to change the font size are not available in the Reader. Screenshot:
When I use Vensim PLE it prompts me to rescale and the text overlap problem is solved, but now I have a problem of sketch elements that need to be hidden are not hidden and again the display looks scrambled, and the controls to hide sketch elements are not available in PLE.
I have tried this on two different computers, with and without external monitors, but all have the same issue.
In case it matters: the model I'm trying to open is the Capability Trap model by Sterman from his article "How to Save a Leaky Ship" available here: http://jsterman.scripts.mit.edu/docs/Ca ... yTrap1.zip

It looks fine for me (Windows 10).
Do you have the Arial font installed?

Thank you for replying. I do have the Arial font installed, and in fact some of the items in the screenshot I posted above are in Arial font. I also have Windows 10 on both of the computers I tried this on. Are you opening it with the Model Reader?

Re: Vensim display problem with overlapping text
Ahh, I see. I'll have to raise this as a bug, the model reader should ask about resizing (but clearly does not).
The only solution for now is to write to the author and ask if they can publish a Windows version of the model.

Re: Vensim display problem with overlapping text
I just wanted to note that this problem has been solved after the author of the model (professor John Sterman) followed up and Tom Fiddaman from Ventana created a fixed version of the model for use on Model Reader in Windows. The link to the fixed version should be up on Professor Sterman's website shortly.
