Hi,
I am trying to create a payoff that MINIMIZES the metric I created that is a function of the gap between my target and actual value, since goal-seeking is not available in Vensim.
However, I do not see an option to MINIMIZE payoff, it seems like Vensim automatically maximizes payoff, does not give you the option to MINIMIZE instead. Or perhaps I missed it.
Could you please help me with setting up a payoff that minimizes my gap metric? Thank you.
how to set a target value for my model?

I've moved your post to a new topic.
You can do goal seeking in Vensim. See the example in the help system on calibration,
http://www.vensim.com/documentation/ind ... ?21295.htm
If you want to minimize the payoff, set the weight to a negative value.
