Ventana family of products has stopped working

Post by bgencer1 »

Hello,

I am using DSS FOR Windows Version 6.3 (x32) and when I click on Simulate, I have the same warning ("Vensim family of products has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program.") and Vensim stops working. What should I do?

Thank you.

Can you upload the model you are using?

Most likely, the solution will be to move forward to a current version (or backward, I guess). We'd have to see your .vpd to say more.

Hello,

I did not change anything so I don't know why but it works now. Thanks.

Hi
I am using Vensim DSS for windows version 6.4c (x32)
I am lately getting this error when I try to import a dataset from an excel file.
It worked previously on the excel file, but is now causing Vensim to crash.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Regards

Can you email the offending Excel file to us (vensim@vensim.com) so we can experiment?

Some variable names were preceded by an '. After cleaning the offending characters the import proceeded without a problem.
Thanks
