Vensim Apps Development trial/license implications

Post by lfbpmb »

Hi,
I currently own a Vensim Pro license and am on the process of evaluating the alternatives I have to deploy some models I created to a client.
My intent is to create an app by using Sable and/or Visual Studio so that I can build flexible and friendly interfaces for end users.
Before jumping in and buying the DSS and Sable licenses I would like to know if there is some way I can get a trial version so I can check if it will fit my needs.
Also, I´d like to know the licensing implications, if I´ll be able to deploy the developed apps freely to the end users.
Thanks
Luis
PS. My profile doesn´t include my license number because some sort of bug is preventing me to enter the edit profile page.

If would help if you could detail what you need to do and maybe we can advise better.

The model allows simulating the distribution of resources among different business units and each business unit can distribute the resources they get to provide a series of different services. The model shows the resulting service levels based on the resources provided.
The idea is to provide an app where the general manager can decide how to distribute resources for the units, suggesting how each unit manager can distribute the resources among the services. Each unit manager will also use an app where he can simulate the distribution for his unit.

Where do you want this app to run (browser, mobile device, desktop etc)?

Desktop and/or Browser, depending on the learning curve and cost to do each of them.

I'd suggest looking at Forio. They've got everything needed to run models from a browser, and the latest software is really easy to use.
