Suggestion: Data vars with explicit :NA: should not trip Warnings

We input some data series via a VDF file. The data doesn't cover the full simulation time period, so we get Vensim warnings about data not existing for these variables.

I would like to make the warnings go away -- would make real warnings be more evident. We tried adding :NA: for the years we don't have data but the warnings still persist.

I feel if we've explicitly added :NA: for values, that should be treated as intentional and not cause the same warning.

I think suppressing all warnings is bad modeling practice, but having a model that always has warnings is also not very useful modeling practice.

I've never tried it, but you can use a .cin file to suppress the warnings:
