"EDIT", "VIEW", "INSERT" not active

Post by osenk123 »

Hello
I'm a new user of Vensim PLE version. After program installation I was not able to use menu EDIT, VIEW and INSERT - there were just not active. When I uploaded any example model and tried to run simulation I got message - Stop from Vensim, Can only use this in sketch view.
Could somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong or I have a problem with proper installation of the program.

Thank you in advance

Did you install using admin permissions?

I have admin rights on this computer although it is a company laptop.
I don't know how else I can check possible rights that I should have.
I tried as well to start the program "as administrator" but without success.

For everyone else: the issue here is corporate user management software that locks up the normal path to vensim.ini, which prevents Vensim from running. There's a workaround, and a future release will avoid the problem.
