List of variables to change values for simulation in single screen

Post by amitkaram »

Hi

Is it possible to get list of variables (constant ones) to change values for simulation in single screen, where i can just change the values as i like and click on simulate.I will be very grateful if I can get answer for this

Thanks

You can use the document tool to get all the constants and then place those on a screen.

My question is a bit different. As of know, if i want to simulate different scenarios, i need to go in equation of each constant variable and change its values. Is it possible to change values of all constants in a single screen?

Also, another query- if i am using a auxiliary variable as initial value in a level variable, and hence an arrow pointing from auxiliary variable to that level variable, i see this arrow as grey and not blue colour. What significance does it have?

Or use the Model Constants button when you're in Sim Setup mode.

Thanks for the answer to my first query.

Kindly answer second question i asked in above post if possible

"if i am using a auxiliary variable as initial value in a level variable, and hence an arrow pointing from auxiliary variable to that level variable, i see this arrow as grey and not blue colour. What significance does it have?"

For running scenarios, you should not edit equations. Instead, use constant changes files, the constant settings in the simulation control dialog, or Synthesim to make temporary changes. That preserves the integrity of your model much better.

The diagram difference is indicating exactly what you have identified - that the arrow initializes the model state, but does not have a dynamic influence (i.e. it is not part of the feedback structure of the model).
