Compatible .dat Text Editor

Hi Tom,
Please I am trying to find a compatible text editor to enable me import a .DAT dataset into PLE. I tried Notepad but I didn't get the .DAT file extension. Can you recommend any? thanks

Notepad can open a .dat file; it just doesn't do it natively. You can assign .dat to it in the operating system, however.

I prefer Notepad++ (open source) which gives you a context menu for opening any file.
