copy/paste
copy/paste
I have made two separate vensim files, there are my two subsystems, and I want to copy everything from one system to another.
My problem is that when i select all, copy it, then I can not paste it in the other vensim file.
My vensim version is Vensim PlE.
Is this workabale in this version?
please guide me.
It's more than an hour that I'm involved with this problem.

Re: copy/paste
This should work:
- Open model A
Select All
Copy (Control-C)
Close model A
Open model B
Paste (Control-V)

Re: copy/paste
I also did the same, but when i open model b , the Paste button is disabled and shortcut key(ctrl+v) also doesn't work.
Re: copy/paste
Are you closing Vensim in between, or using two different running instances of Vensim? The clipboard may not carry over. Be sure to just close the model.

Re: copy/paste
If you copy and then immediately paste in the same model, does it work?

Re: copy/paste
The problem is that you are closing Vensim, this empties the clipboard.
1. Open Vensim.
2. Open the source model.
3. Copy all.
4. Do not exit Vensim.
5. Click File->Open, and open the target model.
6. Paste.
