If A affect B, can B affect A?

Post by Christine »

A and B are both varibales. I have a problem that if A affects B, can B affect A? I mean that the first A will affect the first B, but the first B will affect the second A. Is it workable?
thanks!

Have you done any of the Vensim tutorials yet?

Try here,

On this page you will find a really good Vensim PLE tutorial. This shows you how to create a stock and flow where they influence each other.

If A -> B -> A, you have a feedback loop, which is fine (kind of the point really). However, this does imply that there must be at least one stock somewhere in the A-B chain.
