Hello, I am a teacher's assistant for a System Dynamics course that is using Vensim for student modelling exercises. One of my students is having an issue while using Vensim PLE version 9.2.3 on a Mac (macOS Monterey version 12.2.1). Her issue is that when she adds a Variable object into the workspace, when she types the name of the Variable none of the text is visible while she is typing in the box. Once she presses enter or clicks away from the Variable box, though, the text becomes visible.
Has anyone encountered such a problem, or have any ideas regarding how to make it so the text is visible in the variable box while typing?
Thanks in advance!

Are you running in dark mode?
Are you using the new or the old GUI?

Yes, she was running Mac in Dark Mode. Turning this off solved the issue. Thank you very much!

She probably needed to enable the dark mode sketch (View->Dark mode sketch).

Ah okay. I will let her know that this may enable her to continue using Dark Mode while still using Vensim properly. Thanks again!
