QUERY: Can any reader of SD Digest inform the subscribers about the status
of simulation programs that would operate from servers on the Internet?
And whether models constructed in other languages could be operated from
these programs? The current status seems to be that many programs are
available in run-time versions, and some, such as Madonna, are available as
shareware. It is enheartening to see more and more libraries of models
available for down-loading.
Can there ever be a "lingua franca" of simulation programs--a common method
that will run virtually any model on any platform?
Thank you,
