UK Chapter meeting

Post by "geoff coyle" »

THIS NOTE IS FOR ALL MEMBERS OF THE SD SOCIETY LIVING IN THE UNITED KINGDOM.

The formation of the UK Chapter of the Society was approved by the Policy
Council of the System Dynamics Society Inc. during 1999. The Chapter will
hold its first annual meeting on February 3/4 in Harrogate, previous
meetings in the UK having been informal gatherings.

A vacancy will arise on the Chapters Policy Council when I step down with
effect from January 1, 2001 and during the Chapters business meeting an
election will be held for someone to take office on the above date. The
Chapters Policy Council have agreed to nominate Susan Howick, of the
University of Strathclyde, who has
graciously agreed to let her name be put forward, but it is open to any
THREE members of the Society, living in the UK, to make their own
nomination, in which case an election will be held. At least one of
nominators must be at the Harrogate meeting to propose their candidate. The
person receiving the larger or largest number of votes from those people who
are members of the System Dynamics Society and who are present at the
business meeting shall be elected.

Nominations, signed by the three nominators and the person nominated, in
writing not e-mail, must be sent to Dr David Exelby, HVR-CSL, Selborne
House, Mill Lane, Alton, Hampshire GU34 2QJ to arrive not later than 5
working days before the date of the meeting.

Please forward this to anyone who may not be on the bulletin board but
please note that nominators MUST be members in good standing of the System
Dynamics Society Inc.

Regards,

Geoff
