group model building cases

Post by "Etienne Rouwette" »

Dear members of the System Dynamics community,

Over the last two years Jac Vennix, Theo van Mullekom and myself have been
gathering papers and articles on group model building projects. We are
trying to take stock of the approaches used and to identify robust outcomes
of client involvement in modeling. We have collected about 100 studies so
far, using the System Dynamics Review, ISDC Proceedings, standard books in
the field and the bibliography.

In order not to miss out on important material published elsewhere, we would
like to ask your help in finding other references. We are particularly
interested in descriptions of:
- system dynamics modeling projects involving clients in at least the
conceptualisation phase;
- both in applied settings (focused on a real-world problem) and in
education (as a demo);
- in which either qualitative (CLD or stock&flow) models or quantified
models are built;
- providing more or less detail on evaluation results: conclusions for the
client (e.g. learning, commitment) group (e.g. communication or consensus),
and/ or organization (e.g. implementation, results).

The latest version of our paper, including the references we found so far,
can be found in the 1999 ISDC proceedings. Any information on additional
references is very welcome. Please direct replies to the address below.

Thank you for your help & best regards,

Etienne Rouwette
