Location: Preference is Orlando, Florida, also able to consider Boston
(Framingham), Denver or Seattle
Salary Range: Dependent on experience
Position Summary:

National engineering and management consulting firm, R. W. Beck, Inc.
(www.rwbeck.com), is looking for a senior consultant to help build a systems
thinking/system dynamics (ST/SD) practice. The firm has successfully
utilized ST/SD for several projects and is committed to significantly
expanding its application for consulting assignments. The ST/SD practice
will be used in consulting projects such as performance improvement,
strategic and business planning, and training primarily for clients in a
range of industries including: electric, telecommunications, water,
wastewater, and solid waste. The firm is also interested in expanding into
other industries.

The Senior Consultant will have the following responsibilities:
* Provide overall ST/SD technical guidance for management consulting
projects
* Play a key management and/or consultant role in client assignments,
including supervising the development of dynamic computer models
* Train and mentor staff as they develop skills in the application of
ST/SD techniques and tools
* Assist practice leaders in developing ST/SD related business plans,
marketing materials and strategies, work plans and scopes, and QA/QC
procedures
* Participate in marketing and sales activities

The ideal candidate will have the following credentials and experience:
* Strong background in tools and techniques of systems thinking and
system dynamics
* Advanced degree
* Experience with SD modeling software (e.g., Powersim Constructor,
iThink, Dynamo, STELLA)
* Significant experience in applying ST/SD to actual business
situations, including meeting with stakeholders, identifying issues,
developing causal loop diagrams, and preparing system dynamics computer
models
* Consulting experience with external or internal clients
