Job Opening Senior Consultant, Powersim

Powersim is looking for a Senior Consultant or Director of Consulting to
manage and develop business in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.

Powersim Corporation is an international software and business simulation

Responsibilities:

Manage a consulting team and maintain the engagement pipeline and the
coordination and scheduling of consultants for consulting activities
throughout Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.

Provide presentations to prospective clients, write proposals, and develop
new leads.

Participate in projects by performing high value-added client work including
facilitation during key presentations, meeting with clients, developing
simulations, and other activities.

Determine and approve the coordination of consultants among projects. Make
decisions about hiring new employees, as well as the promotion of staff.
Mentor, coach, and develop the careers of the consulting staff.

Maintain frequent and meaningful communication within the consulting team.
This includes both communications within the team and among other teams
within Powersim.

Skill & Knowledge Qualifications:

Analyze and quickly comprehend business problems.
Communicate effectively with clients and build a strong rapport.
Technical skills in using sophisticated simulation software.
Recognize the clients perspective on problems and identify unarticulated
needs.
Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and written communication skills.
Lead and inspire the consulting team.

Requirements

An advanced technical degree in computer science, analytical modeling (such
as business or econometric modeling), or engineering, or an advanced degree
in business management or economics (such as an MBA). Applied experience in
modeling and consulting with top consulting firms, or with internal
consulting organizations in top companies is preferred.

Experience with system dynamics modeling software such as Powersim
Constructor, iThink, Dynamo, or STELLA is preferred

Excellent communication, management, and negotiation skills. Strong writing
and editing skills.

At least two years experience in managing creative professionals, including
hiring and building teams.

Fluency in German.

Experience in a start-up company or other entrepreneurial environment and
good project management skills. Ability to work comfortably and well at
either a strategic level or detailed tactical level. Hands-on work style.
