MITs Distance Program in System Dynamics

Post by "Jim Hines" »

MIT is now accepting applications for courses beginning in March in the SD
Advanced Study Program.

MITs Advanced Study Program in System Dynamics is a distance program aimed
at folks who want to become excellent in system dynamics, but who dont want
to become resident students. The program is a four course sequence, offered
for MIT credit. In addition, people completing the entire SD sequence
receive a certificate of completion.

Two courses will be offered next "semester", which begins in March. "System
Dynamics Foundation: Managing Complexity" provides a foundation for serious
work in SD. "System Dynamics for Insight" concentrates on getting value out
of the system dynamics process (the Foundations course or its equivalent is
a pre-requisite).

For more information and an application please visit

MITs Distance Program in System Dynamics

Post by "Jim Hines" »

We are now accepting applications for the Fall term for MITs Advanced Study
Program in System Dynamcis. This program is a series of web-based courses
in system dynamics. There are now six offerings (three full semester
courses and three half-semester advanced topics). Each course and topic is
offered for MIT credit. The courses are: SD Foundations, SD for Insight,
Real World SD, Advanced Techniques in SD, Project Dynamics, and Stragy
Dynamics.

Im happy to report that our program continues to grow in courses and
students. We hope to offer a brand new advanced topic in Environmental
Dynamics for the Fall. Our first graduating "class" has just finished up
(the requirements for a certificate are the three full courses plus two of
the advanced topics).
