Computer Simulation Modeler

Specialist/Professional Researcher

Join an interdisciplinary research group with expertise in statistics,
decision science, economic analysis, informatics, and public health to
expand the Tobacco Policy Model.

Responsibilities: Develop and refine model structure; build
mathematical/statistical functions for inclusion in the model; perform
sensitivity analyses; debug and validate model; report on model results;
assist in drafting manuscripts for publication.

Required skills: Quantitative training and experience with computer
simulation.

Desired skills: Understanding of system dynamics, Markov and Monte Carlo
simulation approaches. Experience with Vensim or a comparable simulation
package (IThink/Stella, Powersim, or Dynamo) and a programming language are
helpful.

Salary: Competitive with industry standards and commensurate with
experience. Excellent benefits. Rank is flexible. A senior or junior
research faculty position (non-tenure track) is possible along with the
opportunity to write new grant proposals and forge new research directions.
