Hi all,
Im a Ph.D. student at Texas A&M university. Im currently trying to build a
system dynamics model to understand how infrastructure spending translate
into benefits for a city. Infrastructure under consideration includes Roads
and bridges, Fresh water supply, Drainage system, Wastewater treatment,
among others. I intend to use quality of life (found in Forresters World
Dynamics model) for benefits of people. To understand how infrastructure
spending eventually affects quality of life (or benefits), Im considering
to include (borrow) some components/stocks from Forresters Urban Dynamics
such as population, businesses/firms, jobs and so forth. If you happen to
know any related models or pointers to any related resources that may be
useful to my research topic, please kindly let me know. I appreciate your
help.
Thank you very much

Xu Honggangs doctoral work at the Asian Institute of Technology addressed
infrastructure policy in the developmental/poverty alleviation context.
There are a few working papers in WPI-SSPS working paper series written by
her since she completed a part of her work here. Complete documentation of
her work should be available from AIT. Honggang can be reached at:
