Hello Shailesh,

Tolstoy wrote that "all happy families resemble one another, each unhappy
family is unhappy in its own way".
I suspect this may also be the case with international conflicts. Anyway,
two resources I know of provide a system perspective on the
Israeli-Palestinian conflict:

1. The late Barry Richmond and Chris Soderquist created a Stella/Ithink
model
of the conflict. Download from high performance systems at
http://www.hps-inc.com/story_archive.asp#may02

2. David Peter Stroh wrote an article titled "A Systemic View of the
Israeli-
Palestinian Conflict". It was published in "The Systems Thinker", and can be
purchased ($6) at http://www.thesystemsthinker.com/#9 (go to list of PDFs)

peace,

Tzur

Conflict has been analyzed in the SD context by
Nazli Choucri using her theory of lateral pressure.
Two major works stand out:

Nazli Choucri and Robert C. North (1975).
"Nations in Conflict: National Growth and International Violence".
San Francisco: W. H. Freeman.

uses systems concepts to study WWI, and

Nazli Choucri, Robert C. North, and Susumu Yamakage (1992).
"The challenge of Japan before World War II and after:
A study of national growth and expansion".
London: Routledge.

looks to the Pacific theater of WWII. Other smaller studies
exist, but these are central.
