5TH ANNUAL MODELING ASSISTANCE WORKSHOP (MAW): For full information,

in coaching, please write to Jack Homer at jhomer@comcast.net. Spectators
are welcome.

THURSDAY WORKSHOPS: If you are planning on attending any of the workshops
at the Boston conference, please check the specific workshop information
listed at http://www.systemdynamics.org/conf2005/ ... ummary.htm. Some
workshop presenters ask that you bring certain materials or do some
reading in advance. Additionally, on Monday PA Consulting Group,
Conference Partner, will offer a Program Management Workshop and on Monday
evening Dennis Meadows will present the Systems Thinking Playbook
Workshop.

SOCIAL PROGRAM: In addition to our traditional informal gathering on
Sunday evening, and the conference banquet on Tuesday, there is a cocktail
party on Monday evening, a tour of Boston on Tuesday morning, and a
musical option on Wednesday evening. Details are at
http://www.systemdynamics.org/conf2005/ ... rogram.htm.

* Freedom Trail Walking Tour (Tuesday at 10am) *
Jeanette Abad will be leading a walking tour of portions of Freedom Trail.
The Trail takes visitors to many of Boston's most famous historical sites.
The tour will be starting from the lobby of the Seaport hotel at 10am. For
further information contact Jeanette Abad at
jeanette.abad@paconsulting.com or see
http://www.cityofboston.gov/freedomtrail.

* Cocktails at the Union Oyster House (Monday at 7pm) *
PA Consulting Group will be hosting a cocktail hour at the Union Oyster
House near Faneuil Hall in the Freedom Trail Room starting at 7pm on
Monday evening. For further information contact Jeanette Abad at
jeanette.abad@paconsulting.com or see http://www.unionoysterhouse.com.

* Nathan and the Zydeco Cha Cha's *
Those of you in Boston on the evening of Wednesday, July 20, may wish to
check out a concert by a hot Louisiana music group called Nathan and the
Zydeco Cha Cha's. The concert is part of the Courtyard series at the
Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. The concerts are outdoors, weather
permitting, and the cost is $25 ($20 for students and seniors over 65).
Food is available at an additional cost. Go to the Museum's web site for
more details and advanced ticket purchase
(http://www.mfa.org/education/concerts) or contact Gary Hirsch for more
information (gbhirsch@comcast.net).

CONFERENCE ROOMMATES: If you are looking for a roommate, please contact
the Society office at sds@albany.edu for coordination suggestions.

We encourage you to stay at the SEAPORT Hotel
(http://www.seaportboston.com). A special room rate has been negotiated to
help keep the conference affordable. Sharing a room will significantly
reduce the hotel cost. For example, with two people in the room, the room
rate of US$148 (including taxes) will be split in half, so the cost will
be US$74/person/night. (Triple occupancy: US$59/person/night, quadruple
occupancy*: US$51/person/night)
*Please keep in mind the rooms have two double beds or one king size bed.

STUDENT ROOMS: A limited number of rooms are available to students without
the additional increase of US$25 per person for triple or quadruple
occupancy. (Please see the SEAPORT Hotel Room Reservation Request Form for
details.)

NOTE: Per person rates are the same whether the roommate is an attendee of
the conference or a guest, such as a spouse and/or children.

DEADLINE: June 17th is the early conference registration and hotel
reservation deadline. Forms are available on the conference website.

The conference presentations are scheduled to start at 8:30 AM, Monday
July 18, announcements will precede the presentations. Pre-conference
events scheduled for Sunday, include the PhD Colloquium, Policy Council
meeting, Health System Reform Meeting, and Informal Gathering. We look
forward to seeing you in Boston!
