Dear all,

Lately, i am interested in identifying complex behaviour and I came across with the analysis called (or include) ""Lyapunov Exponents"". I would like to know if anybody has some experience, knowledge, know-how, paper on how to do it, where to begin (to learn), or a study carried out etc.

Thanks in advance...

Hi Ahmet, I would recommend you to read Control Theory and Applied Control (Theory). Almost in any text you will find the Lyapunov Stability Analysis, via Lyapunov Exponents. It is relatively complex and difficult to apply in System Dynamic Models unless the model is sufficiently simple.

hope that helps

Ahmet,

I used ""Practical Numerical Algorithms for Chaotic Systems"", by Thomas S. Parker and Leon O. Chua (Springer-Verlag) to write a program to calculate Lyapunov exponents. It gives an algorithm and a good definition.

Hope it will help.
