There have been some intermittent problems over the past two weeks.

The message below is from our ISP. They have now replaced the suspected faulty equipment, so hopefully things will be back to normal now.

Sorry for the problems.

Tony.

As you may have noticed, we have been experiencing reliability issues with cPanel3, the server you are hosted on.

After many sleepless nights and much troubleshooting, we believe the problem is a faulty RAID controller card and will be replacing it this weekend. A notice with a specific time will be sent before the card is replaced. It’s impossible to guarantee this is the problem but everything seems to point towards a faulty card.

We are extremely disappointed with the amount of downtime this server has been experiencing within the last few weeks and we hope to have our normal level of reliability resumed once the card is replaced. We’d also like to apologise for the downtime, however this has been an extremely difficult problem to trace and could only diagnose the fault once we experienced downtime.

We would also like to use this opportunity to remind everyone about our status blog which is constantly updated whenever we have a server problem. It is always worth checking to see if an entry has been posted about a problem before submitting a trouble ticket.

Once again, apologies for the recent downtime and we hope you will continue to host with us.
