I am pleased once again to invite entries for two prizes for work in Syst=
em
Dynamics.

The first is the Steer Davies Gleave prize for the best piece of work tha=
t
applies System Dynamics to a problem of wide public interest in the UK. =
The
work
should demonstrably improve understanding of the problem by, for example,
clarifying the definition of what is at issue and allowing candidate solu=
tions
to
be formulated and tested.

The prize is =A3500, and the competition is open to anyone living or work=
ing in
the
UK.

The second prize is awarded by the UK Chapter of the System Dynamics Soci=
ety for
the best piece of student work in system dynamics during the past year. T=
he
winner will receive:

=95 Free attendance at the annual UK System Dynamics meeting,
=95 a cash prize of =A3250,
=95 an opportunity to make a short presentation on the work at the =
meeting
and
=95 a commemorative certificate.

The competition is open to any student who has been studying System Dynam=
ics at
a
British University.

More details can be found at the UK Chapter's website at
http://www.systemdynamics.org.uk/index.php?id=3D1. Alternatively contact=
me
directly at John.Swanson@sdgworld.net.
