Ventity 1.0 (beta) 64 bit lacks help files

Post by bkruger@iafrica.com »

I downloaded and installed Ventity 1.0 (beta) 64 bit version - but the Help files is not part of the installation files.
Downloaded twice but the error message is the same "Could not locate the help file. It should be located at".

I installed the 32 bit version on my (older) desktop - no problem!

Am I missing something, or should I limit it to "help!"

Re: Ventity 1.0 (beta) 64 bit lacks help files - problem sol

Both my machines are running on Windows 10 Pro - one 32-bit, one 64-bit.

Overcame the Helpfile absence by using commonsense - located the VentityHelp file on the 32-bit machine which installed it, copied it into the ProgramData, Ventity folder on the 64-bit laptop and am getting acquainted with Ventity.

Should have used my head before approaching the Forum - thanks for being patient.

Actually, I'd encourage you to seek help early, rather than wasting time trying to solve a problem that may have an existing answer. Also, if you don't, we never find out about these things.

We've replicated the problem. We'll get a fix released ASAP.

Forgot to mention it here, but the (now not so) recent release fixes this.
