Entity models on multiple "views"

Post by nachtrieb »

One of the great features of Vensim is the ability to build up a complex model from stocks and flows on multiple views. There are "tabs" in Ventity, but as near as I can tell an entity model lives on one tab. For example from the Ventity Help, the Competitive Markets business 18 model, has an entire business model on a single entity tab. While I can understand and modify such an entity, I wouldn't be able to share it with my stakeholders because the picture is too complex. I'd prefer to define this entity over multiple views. Is that possible?

It is, though it's still a bit clumsy.

You can add diagrams directly in an entity's inspector (there's a diagram tab).

Or, use the Group tool to add a tile to the main view - it'll add a diagram with an icon.
