dynamic loop: Vensim -> Excel -> Vensim

Hello,

What I want to do:

My Vensim model generates datasets. I want to export these datasets to excel and operate with them. With these input information excel generates new datasets, which I want to re-import to Vensim. So there is a dynamic loop between excel and Vensim:

...Vensim -> Excel -> Vensim ...

Does that work? Is it possible to integrate Excel dynamically?

As far as I know, it is possible to import or export datasets from Vensim to excel with VENSIM PLUS only. Is that right?

If you mean to accomplish this during a simulation time step you will need Vensim DSS and external functions that can make a connection to Excel - this is a pretty complicated setup for this issue.

If you simply want to make a simulation - then send the results off and change them then run another simulation you can do that with Data Export and Data Import or using GET XLS DATA - this will require Vensim PLE Plus.
