Anybody have a problem like this?
My model runs fine, but when I switch to view as text, Vensim blows up. I restart, load the model, Reform and Clean: then I can switch views. But when I exit, with or without a formal save, and restart, I'm back to the blowup when I go to text.
Seems like the Reform and Clean isn't sticking across saves. Same model on another machine has same problem; same model on yet another machine does NOT have the problem.
Vensim Pro Windows 5.7a, XP SP3.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Steve,
If the model is saved as a .mdl file then the Reform/Clean should not have much effect. If the file is a .vmf file then it is true that unless you do a Save after a Reform/Clean no changes are made to the saved model.
From your description I am guessing that there is something being set by a normal model read that is being reset in Reform/Clean - if you want to send me the model I would be happy to take a look to see if I can reproduce the problem.

On further checking, I get a Vensim popup saying "format group control", then that gets smashed by the Windows "Vensim family of products has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience".
Appreciate the offer to take a peek. I'll send it to you direct. Thanks.

Thanks. New version soon. I'll watch for it.

Thanks for sending the model across. I was not able to replicate the problem with your model but I did receive another model that seems to do the same. That I can fix, so hopefully you will no longer have this problem with the next release of Vensim (soon)
