The University at Albany is seeking a new Director of the Center for Tech=
nology
in Government.

Job Description
The Center for Technology in Government is an applied research center wit=
h a
staff of 28 professionals and graduate students. CTG has a fifteen year h=
istory
of leadership and excellence in government IT innovation, including the =
Ford
Foundation Innovations in American Government Program and Governing Magaz=
ine=92s
Public Official of the Year, and other awards.
Requirements
Successful candidates will have demonstrated leadership in government IT
innovation and excellent qualifications in applied research, particularly=
in
organizational and policy issues. A doctoral degree from an accredited
university
is required, with at least 5 years of leadership experience and success i=
n
attracting external funding. The ability to direct a highly creative staf=
f in a
multidisciplinary environment is essential, along with establishing colle=
gial
relationships with policy makers and government professionals. US and
international experience is desirable.
