Getting an intermittent error in a model that I'm developing using Vensim DSS 5.8d and was wondering if others had come across it or not what to the root cause of it is. Occasionally, Vensim throws up a dialog box with Vensim Program Error DCC43327 and it seems to occur when trying to edit options for either the arrows or names. Once these messages start, the only way to get rid of them is to close the program and reopen. I tried running "Reform & Clean" after getting one of these error messages and the system just got into a loop throwing up the error message each time and clicking ok just took you back to the error message - required the old 3 finger salute!
Yesterday, I upgraded to the latest version (from 5.5!) and I'm trialling it out before we roll it out to the rest of my work colleagues, so I would be keen to understand this problem before we all migrate to it.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

the message is not actually related to the model but to the depth of device drawing contexts. What does the screen look like when the message appears? Are there lots of overlapping windows visible or just the model? doe the model have lots of embedded graphs or sliders?
The only solution is to close and reopen Vensim.

Thanks for your response. I'm just starting out building this particular model and it is relatively simple at the moment. There are 3 sheets in the model and I didn't have any output windows open or sliders. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by embedded graphs, but if you mean the graph overlay on the variables then, no, I do not have any of those at the moment. I do have one hidden layer though. I'll take a screen capture if it happens again for reference.
