The Gray Arrow

Post by Hani »

Hi,

I am new learner of vensim. I have one question so far, but am sure i will be having many soon.

My question is, i have notice in some Vensim models that the arrows connecting the variables are gray in color while the others are blue, is there any difference or just the modeler change the color of some arrows?

In standard downloaded versions, grey arrows are often used for initialisation, mainly for initialising stocks, but too for smooth, delay or Initial functions if the model>settings>sketch>sketch show initial causes on model diagram is set on. The model button in question is the one between the layout and tools buttons. You can change the color of the initial arrow setting the color in the tools>options>sketch defaults>initial arrow color setting.
Regards.
