The scenario is that when I click the "equation" button

And Vensim seem be lock... nothing will happen !!!

Do I press some button to lock it ? How can I unlock it ?

Can you let us know the following please.

1. What operating system are you using?
2. What version of Vensim?
3. Do you have multiple monitors set up?
4. Are you using a laptop in a docking station?

Tony.

Try opening up the laptop screen, chances are the equation editor is appearing there.

Thanks !!!

But what's the meaning of "Try opening up the laptop screen, chances are the equation editor is appearing there."

My screen is always opening, and it means that when I click the "equation" and the screen will stop.

do you mean that I should open the control term of screen when I click the equation ???

Very Thanks for your help !!!!!

Vensim remembers where you had the equation editor open. If you have gone from multi-monitor to single monitor, and moved the editor in the past, it will still try to appear on the 2nd monitor.

Try the following.
1. Close Vensim.
2. Start notepad, edit the file called vensim.ini (click File->Open, type %APPDATA%\vensim\vensim.ini into the file open box).
3. Search the file for "EqedDim1" and "EqedDim2" in the INI file. Delete these two lines and save the file.
4. Start Vensim and the equation editor should appear again.
