datasets seem to load but don't simulate

Post by Imari »

Hello,

I'm learning Vensim on a Mac OS 10.10.5

When I load a dataset its seems to register in the control panel, but then it doesn't add any information to the simulation. I've included a screenshop of the control panel and a simulation. I do have the dataset in the same file as the model.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Ilmari

Can you upload the model/results file so we can take a look? Screen shots are not much use.

Does your data contain a variable with a matching name? (One way to check for sure is to export the dataset to text and check the contents.)

Thanks. I've uploaded the model and the dataset.

That model is completely empty.

The VDF file contains two parameters, "CUMULATIVE REPORTED CASES" and "NEW REPORTED CASES". That's why there is nothing showing on the plot as there is no data in the dataset for those parameters you are showing. If you had a parameter called either "CUMULATIVE REPORTED CASES" or "NEW REPORTED CASES", the plot would show.
