Could someone please direct me to SD resources on water resources. Has some
work in this area been done.

Work on Water Resources
Perhaps, there may be some. Though you do not mension on what aspect of
water
resources, here are some references available to me:
Karpack, l. M. , and Palmer, R. N. (1992). "Use of interactive
simulation
environments for evaluation of water supply reliability.=E9 Proc., Water
Resour.
Session at Water Forum 92, M. Karamouz, ed., 144 -149, ASCE, New York,
N.Y.
Andrew Ford, Testing Snake River explorer, System Dynamics Review, V.
12, n. 4,
winter 1996: 305-329.

Abdul,
Could you be more specific? What issues are you interested in? What
reference modes?

Work on Water Resources
In the discussion of material on water resources, I do not recall anyone
mentioning what is probably the first system dynamics book on the subject:
Hamilton, H. R., S. E. Goldstone, J. W. Milliman, A. L. Pugh III, E. B.
Roberts, and A. Zellner, 1969. System Simulation for Regional Analysis: An
Application to River-Basin Planning, Cambridge, MA: MIT Press. 407 pp.
The book is undoubtedly out of print, but copies may be available in
various places.
