Mathieu Santerre asked about models of diffusion of innovation for use in
public policy areas. I recently worked with a group of educators to develop a
model of innovation in schools which included curriculum innovation and
related changes in areas such as methods of student evaluation. The work was
done under a Gordon Brown Fund grant and a paper on the model is available
from the Creative Learning Exchange (sysdyn.mit.edu/cle). (Paper is indexed
as INNOVAGH (D-4765) under New Additions, Systems Education). There is also a
brief paper on the model in the Proceedings of this summers (1998) System
Dynamics Conference. Hope these are helpful.

Dynamics of innovation
Hello everybody,
Im starting a public policy analysis masters degree on the topic of
technological innovation. More precisely, Ill try to build and simulate a
SD model representing the dynamics of innovation on a regional level. My
ultimate goal is to make that model relevant for regional public policy
making. Does anyone have something to suggest me? (articles, books, models,
comments)
Thanks in advance,
Mathieu Santerre

The KMC is in the process of collecting and recording materials related to
the study of knowledge processes. Check www.km.org under *Research Cente*r
from time-to-time. You will see more and more references to Innovation.
