"The configuration is read only" error

So I'm just getting started with Ventity. I followed the first "Pasture" tutorial until the point where we run the model. When I hit "run" however, I get the following error message: "The configuration is read only". I've pasted the error log below, and attached my exercise file. Any help on fixing this issue is much appreciated!

This could be an operating system lockdown of the config file. Are you running the latest 3.0.3?

Hi, sorry for the delayed response. Yes, I am using version 3.0.2. After your comment I tried running the program as administrator and got the same error.

I also just tried using Lockhunter to view which processes were using the locking the "Ventity" program folder, and it seems as though only Ventity itself is accessing the folder (see attachment).

The problem is typically with %appdata%/Local/VentityConfig.xml.

I'll check with the programming team for other ideas.

Thanks, Tom. It doesn't seem as though any processes are locking that file/folder. It also looks as though my account has the required read/write permissions.

OK ... another possibility is that the model is loading read-only.

What happens if you move the sample model to another place - maybe your Documents folder? Or, what if you create/run a new, empty model in a location where you're sure you have permissions?

(Sorry for snatching at straws here - these things are hard to diagnose.)

I've tried the above with no success...I'm totally baffled. I've also tried reinstalling Venitity, and running the program as administrator.

I'm getting the same error. Just installed Version 3.0.2. Models that worked on previous versions now give the error. Just as an experiment, creating a brand new model with only one entity containing one stock also gives the error! Super frustrating. Debug info pasted below, as suggested.

UPDATE
Installed (downgraded to) Version 3.0.1, but got the same error.
Installed (double downgraded to) Version 3.0.0 but got the same error again.

Installing the latest .NET framework solved the problem in at least 1 case:
