Hello,
I'm looking at some example models trying to understand if the model structure changes with and without using sub-models. However, neither of the example models work and their structures are exactly the same. Could I have two working models for comparison? I'm attaching non-working examples here.
Another question I have is whether Vensim provides a graphical presentation of how different sub-models are linked via which variables. I used other software and this can be done easily but the tutorial on Vensim is somewhat limited. Any help is highly appreciated. Thank you!

market_model_original runs for me. What errors are you getting?
market_model should have some additional models with it. Do you have them in the same folder?

There isn't yet an automated graphical representation, but it's on our todo list.

Re: Sub-model: working model and graphical presentation of sub-model connection?
I ran the market_model in the same folder of Vensim sample model where "advertising" and "products" are stored.
The errors I got:
1. The variable "Products" and perhaps others require a data file to be specified.
2. Unable to correctly load in exogenous values - aborting.
Am I suppose to make the connections between the sub-models and the main model? I was under the assumption that the work has been done for me.
Thank you!

Re: Sub-model: working model and graphical presentation of sub-model connection?
Yes, you have to make the connections by yourself between the main model and the submodels and it will then work. JJ

I get the same error message. How should I make this connection?

You need Vensim DSS/Pro for sub-models.
