Hi
i like generally when starting Vensim to automatically load the model i was last working on.
this dos not work anymore.
To avokd that pitfall, when i finsh to work I go to the options general and chek off and in the l'oad the last model worked on'.
When i do that it works fine. but it takes a long time to load and before loading it warns with the message:
Unable to open the file Bureau\!Users\AppData\Roaming\Vensimdp.ini to read/record information ...
I have reinstalled Vensim but it still does the same thing.
I recently defragmented the file; maybe it comes from that?
Regards.
JJ

Re: low speed loading a model
What is the exact version of Vensim you are using?
Are you using the old or the new GUI?
Can you share the model that is causing the problem?

Re: low speed loading a model
How slow is low? 2 seconds? 10 seconds? More? This loads in a reasonable time for me.

Re: low speed loading a model
Hi
It loads from 10 to 20 seconds.
But before that the load was instanttaneous, in 0.1 second.

Re: low speed loading a model
Whatever the situation it loads in about 15 seconds.
i join another model that is much more complex and downloads excel data that loads instantaneoulsly in 0.1 second.

Re: low speed loading a model
Since the load time is reasonable for me, I'd have to guess that the problem has something to do with the GET VDF calls. I'd have to have the vdf to diagnose.

Re: low speed loading a model
I thinkthat it has to do with the subscript sim that is very large 100000. When i put it to 1000, it loads quickly again.
But the need to use the options stays.

Re: low speed loading a model
i have erase the get vdf variable. the downloading time stays the same with the sim subscript put to 100000.

Re: low speed loading a model
i think that the .ini file becomes big with the sim subscript put to 100000 and it first says that it cannot open it and then still opens it but it takes more time;
