Equation Editor: Unable to Close Window

I'm teaching a class and several students, all who downloaded Vensim PLE for Mac within the lat month, are reporting the same problem.

When they open the equation editor (formula tool) there is no way to close it. They've resorted to force closing the software. In the screenshots they've shared with me, and from what I've seen on their screens, the usual three mac dots are missing and the bottom part of the equation editor is not showing up. I've asked them to try using external monitors or try increasing their screen resolution hoping more options would be apparent.

Does anyone have a clear solution.

Can you get them to post here with their screen shots? It's difficult to provide help unless we can ask the actual user for feedback.

This is just a guess, it sounds like the editor is not fitting on the screen. They can try making it smaller and then moving it up slightly. Without a screen shot, it's impossible to suggest anything else.
